We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Human Resources Manager to support our People & Culture initiatives in supporting our employees and ensuring a positive workplace environment. In this role, you will be influential in supporting our company’s culture, employee engagement, and professional development. At Barron, the Human Resources Manager will:

- Lead employee relations by addressing concerns, proactively resolving conflict and promoting a supportive work environment
- Oversee the workers’ compensation benefits, manage claims to ensure compliance with legal requirements, and manage return to work/stay at work programs
- Provide strategic leadership in building and developing the People Operations department, establishing foundational processes and supporting team members in launching and sustaining key initiatives
- Administer all aspects of employee leave programs including FMLA, PFML, bereavement, and other company leave policies
- Develop, update and communicate company policies to ensure alignment with best practices and legal requirements
- Manage state-mandated and company-provided benefits programs
- Maintain accurate HRIS record management and generate necessary reports for data-driven decision-making
- Assist in executing and guiding our Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA) initiatives to support team development and success
- Ensure company compliance with safety regulations and work directly with the Safety, Fleet and Facilities Manager to implement workplace safety programs and resources
- Provide notary services for company documents as needed
- Collaborate with department leaders and the Team Development & Engagement Manager to develop clear role descriptions
- Establish a good working relationship with all team members

Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of proven experience in a Human Resources Manager, HR Generalist, or a similar HR role (required)
- Strong working knowledge of Federal and Washington State Labor Laws, and HR best practices
- Experience with employee relations, workers’ compensation, and leave administration
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, data management, and using metrics to drive changes; Paylocity experience preferred
- Notary Public Certifications (or willingness to obtain it)
- Experience working in the trades or related industry (preferred but not required)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint); advanced skills (preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
Compensation:
- Hiring Range: $85,000 to $95,000
- Full Salary Range: $95,000 to $110,0000
