We have more than 18,000 installations in over 80 countries worldwide. Our technologically advanced ceramics and engineering expertise, coupled with our high-quality construction techniques and attention to detail, are typical of all our products and relied upon by our loyal customers. We design, engineer, and manufacture a line of specialty commercial cooking equipment and are seeking a Sr Human Resources Generalist to join our team.

The Sr Human Resources Generalist will play an integral role in providing partnership to the business while delivering best-in-class solutions in support of Wood Stone’s overarching People Strategy. The Sr HR Generalist will support HR initiatives and processes (i.e., Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Performance and Talent Management, Compensation and Benefits, Risk Mitigation, Issues Resolution, Change, Coaching, Counseling, and Transitions, etc.), to help make Wood Stone a best place to work and grow. This is both a strategic and tactical, hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resource support to Wood Stone employees and Wood Stone Leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as a consultative business partner to the organization to ensure effective alignment of HR support with strategic organizational objectives.
  • Play a supporting role in implementing policies and procedures that align with the organization’s strategy and business objectives.
  • Provide advice and counsel to management and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Support change management initiatives.
  • Conduct investigations and make recommendations regarding resolutions with a mindset of balancing the needs of the employee with the needs of the business.
  • Assist in the facilitation of talent management exercises and succession planning discussions, identify talent gaps and development areas.
  • Partner with the organization to support professional development initiatives. This may include assisting in the creation of career paths, development, and implementation of training, and assisting employees and managers with IDPs.
  • Support managers with employee engagement initiatives and action planning for employee opinion survey results.
  • Help identify recruiting and headcount needs and partner to address those needs.
  • Proactively engage and collaborate with HR business partners at our parent company, Henny Penny Corporation, to support shared services initiatives as needed.
  • Take actions to stay current with professional knowledge-i.e., employment regulations, HR-related issues, and best practices.
  • Consistently demonstrate company values and expected behaviors.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor (Other) in Business or Human Resources or equivalent experience. Required
  • 5+ HR generalist-related experience with increasing responsibility. Required
  • Moderate organizational effectiveness experience including managing and leading change.
  • Proven success managing multiple priorities with varying levels of complexity.
  • Moderate experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Moderate knowledge of employment laws and regulations including but not limited to the ADA, FMLA, FLSA, FCRA, and Title VII.
  • Recruitment and selection experience including workforce planning and staffing.
  • Moderate compensation knowledge including equity analysis, job analysis, job design, and overall compensation strategy.
  • Must be a highly organized individual, able to work independently and capable of working in a rapid-paced/rapid turnaround environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders, with the confidence to speak in front of larger groups as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • PHR/SPHR/SHRM Certification Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
